Section 144 was imposed in Chandigarh on Monday as a precautionary measure ahead of an AAP protest against the Punjab government at CM Parkash Singh Badal's residence. Over 50,000 supporters will gherao the CM's residence protesting against the ₹12,000-crore food grain scam, the AAP said. Officials said the CM cancelled his scheduled engagements but will be available for any discussion.
