Section 144 was imposed in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh on Sunday along with a heavy deployment of police personnel. Joint Commissioner DC Srivastava said, "Our aim is to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incident from occurring." Police put up a notice saying, permission was not granted for a protest and legal action would be taken against the violators.
