The Uttar Pradesh government has imposed Section 144 of the CrPC in Lucknow in view of upcoming festivals and other events in the city. Prohibitory orders will remain in force till January 10, the state government further said in a statement. During this period, gatherings of five or more people will be prohibited in the city.
