Section 144 will be imposed in Bengaluru and several other parts of Karnataka for three days from 6 am tomorrow. The orders come ahead of protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) which were set to be held on Thursday. "It is just a precautionary measure as we do not want violence," Karnataka Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.
