A Delhi court has dropped sedition charges against two of the five people who hijacked an Air India plane in 1981. The court has now framed charges under the Indian Penal Code Sections 121-A and 121 (waging war against the state) against both. The hijackers, who belonged to Sikh body Dal Khalsa, had diverted a Srinagar-Delhi flight to Lahore.
