Amid reports of Suryakumar Yadav losing T20I captaincy, ex-India selector Saba Karim said, "On current form, Suryakumar may not be part of selection committee's vision to take team forward." He added the selection committee moved from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the past and picked new side. Citing T20 World Cup 2028, Karim noted, "Selectors have to look ahead".
