A new Senegalese railway worth $1.3 billion made its first journey from capital Dakar to Diamniadio. "Senegalese people deserve to travel in comfort and safety..." the government said in a statement. The 45-minute journey will cost nearly $3 for all passengers. The project is a part of President Macky Sall's Senegal Emergent plan which also includes new airports, roads etc.
