Indian stock markets ended lower on Friday, weighed down by rising global trade tensions, following fresh tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump on Canadian imports. The Sensex dropped 689.81 points, or 0.83 per cent, to close at 82,500.47. Similarly, the Nifty index slipped 205.4 points, or 0.81 per cent, to settle at 25,149.85.
