Indian benchmark indices recorded dips in early trade on Thursday, a day after US President Donald Trump's 25% penalty tariffs on Indian exports took effect. While Sensex dipped about 693 points to an intraday low of 80,093.52, Nifty tumbled over 200 points to hit 24,511.20. HCLTech, HDFC Bank, Sun Pharma, Power Grid Corporation and TCS were top Sensex losers.
