Sensex crashes over 1,300 points after PM Modi's appeal to shield India amid West Asia crisis

Sensex and Nifty fell over 1% to end in red on Monday, a day after PM Narendra Modi appealed to citizens to cut fuel consumption and help save foreign exchange to help shield India amid the West Asia crisis. While Sensex crashed over 1,300 points, Nifty fell to below 23,820 levels. Sun Pharma and Hindustan Unilever were among the gainers.
