Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty closed in the red on Thursday, with both indices declining over 1% each. Sensex dipped 1,236.11 points to close at 82,498.14, while Nifty lost 365 points to end at 25,454.35. The top losers were Interglobe Aviation, Mahindra and Mahindra, UltraTech Cement, Bharat Electronics, Trent, Bajaj Auto, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, and Kwality Walls.
