Sensex jumps 1,225 points at close, Nifty crosses 23,800

Indian stock market benchmarks, the BSE Sensex and Nifty 50, extended their winning streak for a fourth consecutive session on Tuesday. The Sensex closed 1,225.07 points, or 1.62%, higher at 76,917.85, while the Nifty advanced 370.05 points, or 1.58%, to end the trading session at 23,810.85. The rally was supported by falling crude oil prices and foreign fund inflows.
