Members of the minority Serb community in northern Kosovo on Saturday resigned en masse from their jobs with state institutions to protest the government's order to replace license plates issued by Serbia with Kosovo plates. The long-running row is a point of contention between Serbia and Kosovo, a former Serbian province. The Serb minority in Kosovo is backed by Serbia.
