Severe waterlogging was seen in parts of Thane, including Bhiwandi, in Maharashtra following heavy rainfall in the area. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for four districts - Satara, Kolhapur, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri. Mumbai's Regional Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai and Palghar.
