As per the annual birth and death registration report, the sex ratio in Delhi improved marginally in 2014, standing at 896 as against 895 of 2013. However, it is still one of the worst in the country. The report also revealed that the birth rate in Delhi dipped to 20.88 per thousand population in 2014 as against 21.07 in 2013.
