Shammi Silva, President of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), has been appointed as the new President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Shammi, who has served as the Chairman of the ACC Finance & Marketing Committee for some time, will now become the Asian cricket supremo, following Jay Shah's appointment as ICC Chairman.
