Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi (VBA) chief Prakash Ambedkar claimed that NCP(SP) chief Sharad Pawar once met underworld don Dawood Ibrahim as Maharashtra CM in Dubai. Ambedkar stated that Pawar reportedly travelled to London, California and Dubai to meet Dawood from 1988 to 1991 when he was CM. "I've not made any allegations but I've just put forth some facts," Ambedkar said.
