Having gone unsold at the IPL 2025 mega auction, Shardul Thakur will now be spending the Indian summer representing Essex in the County Championship. Shardul will play seven games for Essex in Division 1 as he hopes to make a return to the Indian Test side. The all-rounder last played Test cricket for India in December 2023.
