Shares of oil and gas companies fell on Monday after crude oil prices surged amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. Indian Oil was down 2.33% at ₹131.37 around 11:20 am on the NSE, while Bharat Petroleum declined 1.39% to ₹280.50. Meanwhile, Adani Total Gas and GAIL (India) fell 2.32% and 1.55% to ₹601.95 and ₹159.62, respectively.
