Sharia courts can give opinions, not grant divorces: HC as it sets aside triple talaq order

The Chhattisgarh High Court has declared a Raipur Sharia court's order declaring a woman divorced from her husband as void. The court, while setting aside a triple talaq order issued by a sharia court, stated that private religious bodies may offer opinions but they don't have the authority to alter legal marital rights through binding orders.
