Shastri Bhawan & Krishi Bhawan set to be demolished, ordered to be vacated by Sept 30

Shastri Bhawan and Krishi Bhawan are set to be demolished as part of Central Vista redevelopment project. The two complexes have housed Ministries of Education, Agriculture, among others. The Central Public Works Department has sought vacation and handover of both complexes by September 30 to make way for construction of new Common Central Secretariat buildings, Kartavya Bhawan 4 and 5.
