India wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma said Punjab Kings (PBKS) owner Preity Zinta had apologised to him when he was sold to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in IPL 2025 auction. "After [auction], [Preity Zinta] called me, saying, 'I am very sorry that I couldn’t get you'...She wanted me to stay with them," he said. Jitesh was sold to RCB for ₹11 crore.
