The mother of Deepti Chaurasia, the daughter-in-law of Kamla Pasand owner Kamal Kishore, has said her daughter was defamed at social events by her mother-in-law. Deepti died by alleged suicide. Deepti's mother claimed the deceased was excluded from family functions. She also said that Deepti's alleged harassment began a few months after her wedding in December 2010.
