Clothing brand Shein has apologised after it was widely criticised by people on social media for selling prayer mats as decorative rugs on its website. Some of the mats had illustrations of the Ka'bah, revered holy site for Muslims, and mosques. The company removed the items from its website and apologised saying, "We understand this was a highly offensive oversight."
