Actor Shia LaBeouf was sentenced to two years' probation after pleading guilty to punching three people outside a New Orleans bar during Mardi Gras, holiday marking final day before season of Lent. He received six-month suspended sentence and must attend alcohol treatment programme. Police said he used homophobic slurs, while his lawyer called it a "minor Mardi Gras bar tussle".
