Shikha Sharma retires, Amitabh Chaudhry becomes Axis Bank CEO
Axis Bank on Monday said its Managing Director (MD) and CEO Shikha Sharma has retired, effective December 31, 2018. Amitabh Chaudhry will be the new MD and CEO of the bank with effect from January 1, 2019. The 54-year-old IIM Ahmedabad alumnus, who served as the MD and CEO of HDFC Life previously, has been appointed for three years.
