Deputy CM Sniawbhalang Dhar said expansion work at Shillong Airport will begin soon to allow bigger aircrafts to land by next year. The Airport Authority of India has already floated a tender for the project. Dhar added that by 2026, Shillong is expected to handle larger flights.
