Shiv Sena (UBT), in its mouthpiece, 'Saamana', claimed that the contract for building the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was given to a friend of Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde's son. "Jaydeep Apte is a young man of only 24 years. He had no experience in making such large statues," Sena (UBT) stated. Shivaji Maharaj's statue fell on Monday.
