National-level shooter Pushpender Kumar partially lost his left thumb when an air pistol cylinder exploded at the Karni Singh Range in Delhi. He was training at the shooting range for the National Championship currently underway in Bhopal. The incident took place when Pushpender was filling compressed air into the pistol cylinder from the main cylinder.
