European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that the option of shooting down Russian planes intruding into NATO airspace can't be ruled out. "My opinion is we have to defend every square centimeter of the territory," von der Leyen told CNN. Her remarks came after multiple NATO countries, including Poland, reported suspected Russian drones and jets in its airspace.
