The situation in rural health centres and district hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir has reached a "bleeding point" as doctors posted in rural areas are leaving their postings through deputations for government medical colleges, the state Health Secretary said. According to officials, 626 of 1,521 doctors sanctioned for the health department are on deputation.
