HPV (Human Papillomavirus) is a common STI affecting around 80% of people, mainly between 15-24 years. Types 16 & 18 can cause cancer, while 6 & 11 lead to warts. Physician Dr Rashi Gupta says vaccination before sexual activity offers the best protection and stresses that both boys and girls should be included to reduce HPV-related diseases.
