SIAM flags E20 contamination as failure of car parts sees 'huge' rise, Centre reacts: Report
Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has written to the Petroleum Ministry, flagging high chloride and moisture contamination in E20 fuel, CNBC-TV18 reported. The body said it observed a "huge increase" in the replacement of vehicle parts that come in contact with fuel. Reacting to the letter, the Centre ordered OMCs to step up on-ground quality monitoring at retail outlets.
