The Supreme Court has acquitted cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu of culpable homicide not amounting to murder in the 1988 road rage case, while convicting him of voluntarily causing hurt. Sidhu was accused of hitting a 65-year-old man following an altercation that led to his death. He has been fined ₹1,000 for causing injury to the victim, without any jail term.
