Sikkim's Pakyong to get India's 100th functional airport

The Pakyong airport in Sikkim is set to become India's 100th operational airport when it is commissioned in June, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha said on Wednesday. Under the government's regional connectivity scheme, SpiceJet has been given permission to fly to Pakyong from Kolkata. Sikkim was the only state in the country without an airport.
