Sindhu becomes India's youngest Olympic medalist

PV Sindhu became India's youngest individual Olympic medalist after winning the silver medal in the singles badminton event at the Rio Olympics on Friday. The 21-year-old, who was the first Indian woman to feature in an Olympic final, is also the youngest recipient of the Padma Shri award, aged 19 years. Before Sindhu, Vijender Singh was India's youngest Olympic medalist.
