Singapore driver’s texting defence goes viral after confrontation

A Singapore private-hire driver was allegedly caught texting while driving through an underground tunnel. In a viral video, he defended himself, saying, "My daughter messaged me, she wants to eat but has no money. Can't I just reply to her?" The female passenger later wrote that being "shouted at and threatened with ejection" inside the tunnel was deeply intimidating.
