Singapore introduces QR codes to replace passports at borders

From March 19, Singapore is streamlining entry and exit at two land checkpoints with QR code scanning. Travellers crossing via Woodlands and Tuas can generate a single QR code beforehand, replacing the need for passport checks. This move aims to enhance efficiency and can be used for all people in a vehicle, announced by the nation's Immigration & Checkpoints Authority.
