A Singapore-based paraglider, who was trapped in Himachal's Dhauladhar mountains at a height of 15,000 feet, was rescued on Thursday. Sumit Nurpuri was on a solo flight to Manali when he lost route due to high wind pressure and crash-landed in the mountains. His team sent a private helicopter to rescue him after Nurpuri alerted them using his SOS device.
