Singer Adnan Sami on Tuesday backed the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019, that was passed in the Lok Sabha on Monday. "The CAB is for religions that are being persecuted in the 'Theocratic States'. Muslims aren't persecuted for their religion in Pakistan, Afghanistan or Bangladesh because they're the majority there," he tweeted. "Muslims can still apply for Indian citizenship," Sami added.
