A huge sinkhole was formed in Chennai's upscale Poes Garden area amid heavy rainfall on Monday. A video of the area showed flood water from the street rushing inside the sinkhole and an electric pole collapsing into it. Residents living on this street were evacuated amid fears that if the sinkhole deepens, it could cause damage to the nearby buildings.
