China's Sinovac Biotech has said it is starting Phase III trials of its potential Covid-19 vaccine in Brazil. It will recruit nearly 9,000 healthcare professionals working in Covid-19 specialised facilities for the study, which will start this month. AstraZeneca-Oxford University's experimental coronavirus vaccine and China's Sinopharm are the only other candidates in late-stage Phase III trials.
