Of the 57 leaders who became part of the Union Council of Ministers in the PM Narendra Modi-led government on Thursday, six were women. Smriti Irani, Nirmala Sitharaman and Harsimrat Kaur Badal took oath as the Cabinet Ministers. Meanwhile, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Renuka Singh Saruta and Debasree Chaudhuri were sworn in as Ministers of State.
