Sri Lanka initially refused to take field against Windies on the second Test's third day on Saturday after umpires demanded the ball to be changed presumably because of ball-tampering. The day's play started with a new ball after a delay of nearly two hours following discussions between the officials. Windies were also awarded five penalty runs.
