Sleeping with lights or the TV on raises heart disease risk, even during deep sleep. A nine-year study of 90,000 UK adults by Australian and US researchers found a 56% higher risk of heart attack, heart failure, and stroke due to disrupted circadian rhythms. Experts recommend sleeping in complete darkness or under minimal light below 5 lux for heart health.
