Smallest exoplanet that orbits its star once every 8 hours discovered

Scientists have spotted a planet as dense as iron outside our Solar System orbiting around its star every eight hours. The planet is smaller as compared to the Earth but records very high surface temperatures due to its proximity with its star. With 31 light-years away from Earth, it is one of the smallest exoplanets ever discovered.
