'Smart' paper can conduct electricity, detect water leaks
short by Gaurav Shroff / on Wednesday, 8 November, 2017
US-based researchers have developed a "smart" paper that can conduct electricity and wirelessly transmit information to its surrounding. When water hits the paper laced with conductive nanomaterials, it swells up to three times its size. This can disrupt electrical connections and cause an LED indicator to turn off. It can simplify the process of discovering water leaks, said researchers.
