Japanese scientists have found a way to bind engineered skin tissue to the complex forms of humanoid robots. The scientists gave a smiling face to a robot with skin made in the lab using living cells. Scientists said the breakthrough paves the way towards making convincingly realistic, moving humanoids with self-healing skin that will not easily rip or tear.
