Smoking during pregnancy may not cause ADHD in children: Study

A systematic review and meta-analysis of 46 prior studies showed though smoking during pregnancy is associated with offspring attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) it's unlikely to cause it. "Our...review shows...there's no causal effect between maternal prenatal smoking and offspring ADHD diagnosis. However, pregnant women should still...not...smoke," the lead author of the study said.
