Snapchat revealed it paid over ₹1,000 crore ($157.5 million) in cash to its founding team member Reggie Brown in 2014 to settle a lawsuit alleging he was pushed out of the startup without compensation. Brown claimed that Snapchat's other Co-founders Evan Spiegel and Bobby Murphy used his 'million-dollar idea' for an app with disappearing photos to create Snapchat.
